MapTech introduces abstract diagramming as a visual language and medium between thoughts and reality. Through engagement with theory, cartography, and hybrid drawing techniques, MapTech develops elaborate descriptive and generative diagrams as graphic representations and instruments for developing urban farming systems and architectural design proposals. In this study, EcoTech Lab extrapolates on ruralism by mapping rural territories and sites. Investigating architectural discourse with a particular interest in agrarianism, rural architecture, culture, cartography, and territorial analysis is paramount. MapTech emphasizes the importance of place, time, and discontinuity as fundamental terms with which the role of mapping and diagramming in architecture is highly celebrated.
